Play to Learn Groups Launch at the Partnership

The Play 2 Learn program promotes positive and healthy outcomes for our youngest children and supports parents and caregivers as they prepare their young ones for kindergarten. These are free, weekly two-hour play groups, involving parents/caregivers led by community facilitators that engage children and their caregivers in culturally and developmentally appropriate play activities. Through peer-to-peer and hands-on activities, parents and caregivers learn what they can do at home to support their children’s growth. In addition to the fun your children will have, meeting together provides parents and caregivers a sense of community and mutual support

“Parents don’t need to buy expensive toys for their kids to benefit in many ways from play,” said Jessica Osteen, a Program Facilitator at Play 2 Learn, a program of the Partnership for Children of the Foothills. “Through this program, we can demonstrate important ways to help development through the basics of play.”

Groups are forming, and space is limited, so please contact our facilitators at 828.289.2513 or via email at p2l@pfcfoothills.org.Play 2 Learn Program Coordinators
