Partnership for Children of the Foothills and Kidsenses Museum To partner on the Lucky to Read Event!

Forest City, NC – March’s Fabulous Free Friday at the Kidsenses Museum in Rutherfordton on Friday, March 3, is designed to help children foster a love of reading and realize just how lucky they can be to read and get free books.

The purpose of this outreach by the Partnership for Children of the Foothills (PFC) is education on the importance of reading aloud just 15 minutes a day as supported by our partner National Read Aloud 15 Minutes a Day, and a push for enrollment in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, which provides children ages birth to five a free book a month delivered to their home.

The activities of the day will involve the reading aloud of St. Patrick’s Day-themed books, games of luck, rainbow crafts, and silly shenanigans.  Participants will receive a gift bag from the partnership.
